Duffy's Trip to San Francisco - Part 29 - Exploring the Presidio - June 13, 2015

We had a little time to go to a lookout in the Presidio.

Since we are this close to the road, I'm not sure if this place was peaceful, but it was kind of neat.

Good places to sit, too!

"Helloooo down there!"

Duffy's Trip to San Francisco - Part 28 - Poor Walt - June 13, 2015

"Let's watch some old Disney TV shows!"

"MouseGetar!"

You could actually control an animatronic bird!

All this and then....

"Oh, poor Walt."

We had to leave quickly (though it was a bit of a relief! Poor Walt!).

But, we were able to go back in again.

I sometimes wonder if the world today would be different if Walt's Epcot had gone ahead as he envisioned it.

And back outside, they were flying kites.

"Thank you for all you did, Mr. Disney! We love you!"

Duffy's Trip to San Francisco - Part 27 - Disneyland! - Walt Disney Family Museum - June 13, 2015

"Wow! A nice place to sit....!"

Any guesses why this is special....? Oh!

It was very moving sitting on a bench that Walt Disney likely sat on, and one certainly like the one he sat on when he got the idea for Disneyland. I believe they have one of the benches at Disneyland too, but you're not permitted to sit in it, so this was really special. Then the next room is incredible for a Disneyland fan.

Yes, this is Walt's famous tiny train that he had in his backyard!

\

And then this incredible model of Disneyland!

Inside the Carousel of Progress!

Duffy's Trip to San Francisco - Part 26 - Walt's Miniatures - June 13, 2015

"Hey. I like small things. So does my human. Did Walt like tiny things too....?"

"OH WOW HE DID!"

"Look at how small everything is!"

"I wish I could poke my head in to peek too."

"Walt Disney gave his daughter Diane a miniature chest of drawers (the kind cabinetmakers would use as models to show off what they could do!) and a miniature set of the works of William Shakespeare!"

"My human got a bit upset at me for breaking the rules..."

"It was neat to see the Golden Gate Bridge again, but little did I know what was waiting ahead..."
