Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 18 - Inside the SS Columbia! - 4/13/16

"There was almost no one in the S.S. Columbia!"

"This is from the bow. SO PRETTY! But it was too wet so I couldn't sit down."

"Hellooooo Cape Cod!"

"There is more water outside the park...the human said there is so much theming, it still felt like a real part of the park!"

"We were ALL ALONE on the bow for several minutes!!!"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 17 - SS Columbia! - 4/13/16

"What a wonderfully gloomy day to visit Tower of Terror!"

"We got Fastpasses.  It was not a busy day; we will only have to wait a little more than an hour to use them. But let's go explore!"

"This buffet would be nice, but it is too early and we are not hungry..."

"We just ended up walking toward..."

"SO PRETTY! The human waited for 3 minutes, not sure if she was even allowed to go on board...but we did!"

Nice view!

Walking on the gangplank was so exciting!

"The human said, 'So many rivets!' She was impressed how much this looks like an old, famous Titanic photo."

I don't know if the Imagineers intended it this way, but it sure looks very much like this famous (?) Titanic photo.

"We're boarding!"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 16 - When the Human Fell in Love - 4/13/16

The human here. Here is when I fell in love...with Tokyo DisneySea.

We got in line for the DisneySea Electric Railway. (The Cast Member out front carefully explained it was a one-way trip, but we were wanting to go to Tower of Terror, so that was no problem!)

I love trolleys, and this one, while fanciful, felt so historic!

And 3...2...1...

Right around 10 AM (6 PM at home!), we started going past what look for all the world like circa 1900s buildings. Who would have thought that Japan would be an amazing place to get a taste of an idealized old-time New York? I was so captivated I only belatedly remembered to take photos for posterity.

And then the S.S. Columbia, ready to steam off at any moment!

From my journal: "Seeing American Waterfront's old buildings and the Columbia from an authentic-feeling electric trolley...that was when wonder and amazement caught me by the heart and held tight the rest of the day."

And then to step off in a piece of 1912 New York City...!

SO BEAUTIFUL!

It's just so perfect.

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 15 - Journey to the Center of the Earth and Port Discovery - 4/13/16

Pluto's Crystal Point!

"Oh my goodness C-3PO is a biplane!"

"Journey to the Center of the Earth! Again! We didn't even have to use our Fastpasses because there was no line!"

"Oh dear. It is raining again. But I will not melt."

"Port Discovery!"

I'd heard the popcorn stands were always busy, but not on a rainy day like today!

"It is wet but we are not gloomy!"

"When we visited, StormRider existed. And we LOVED IT!"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 14 - Lost River Delta - 4/13/16

"Yay! We made it to Lost River Delta at last!"

"My human's friend loves this ride best in Disneyland, so we wanted to ride it here. We thought we would get a Fastpass but.....it was not needed."

"I think these are my human's favorite 'story papers' from Tokyo DisneySea!"

"NO LINE!"

"Except...we were moving so fast that the human did not take any good photos..."

"We asked for the front seat and got it and my human's friend bought a photo. We got in line at 8:45 a.m. and were buying the photo by 9:01 a.m.!"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 13 - The Long Way to Lost River Delta - 4/13/16

"Shellie May again. We got lost going to Lost River Delta. Is that irony? But how beautiful is Mermaid Lagoon?!"

"Daisy's Crystal Point! Daisy wishes for joy! But I bring joy too!"

"I would like to be part of Ariel's world!"

"Arabian Coast! The park was NOT BUSY AT ALL. We are SO LUCKY! And the buildings are SO BIG!"

"Donald's Crystal Point!"
