Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 8 - Tokyo Tower - 4/12/16

"We explored the shopping in Tokyo Tower....here is a photo spot! Can you spot me?"

"Luffy!!! We did not go inside, but it was nice to see him."

"I am rich! Wait...I can't keep it? Awww..."

"There were so many churches on the way back to the station! Okay, at least two..."

"And now we are heading back towards Ikspiari! I love trains."

"Oh no! Poor bunny-chan!"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 7 - Tokyo Tower - 4/12/16

"The Imperial Gardens were fun! And...now we are in the shade, trying to figure out where we are going to go!"

"We took the train and got off at the right stop and everything! We even stopped at a 7-Eleven so my human's friends could pick up a ticket to a baseball game! But then we had to try to find our destination. It was fun to see the neighborhoods! SO GREEN!"

"We even passed a school and saw boys in school uniforms. Wow! And we are going to....

Tokyo Tower!"

"It was SO WINDY that we were not allowed to go to the upper observation deck. But my human is afraid of heights, so she did not mind."

"Oh! We are still pretty high up!"

"Hello, tiny Tokyo! I am towering over you!"

"This view scared my human just an ITTY bit. Do not worry.  She is okay."

"They found this old baseball hidden away when they were refurbishing Tokyo Tower. It is in SUCH a fancy case!"

"Sakura!  (Kind of!)"

"They had two men dressed like these mascots, but you could see their faces! They seemed very energetic and I think they were nice, but my human was a bit scared of them. She is more shy than I am."

"We decided to get a snack! My human's friend was happy to get soft-serve ice cream.  My human wasn't very interested in that, but she saw Tokyo Tower dorayaki. (That's sometimes called Japanese pancakes with red-bean filling, but my human thinks it is like a Japanese whoopie pie.) We both love sweet red bean filling!"

"And we could see Tokyo!"

"Hm.  The dorayaki is getting all eaten. How could that have happened?"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 6 - Imperial Gardens - 4/12/16

"Oh, the Imperial Gardens are just perfect!"

"And oh my goodness.  There really ARE vending machines almost everywhere in Japan!  Mostly they have drinks. Like water! My human was so happy! (This is outside the little visitor center.)"

"I would like to pretend to rampage over the buildings, but the Plexiglass is in the way."

"Oh no! I hope I am never something forgotten."

"Let's explore a little more, shall we?"

"I...do not know what this is. Do you? If we should not have taken this photo or posted it, please let me know. I just thought it was neat!"

"Wow! Is that a castle? My human had to hold me up high to get a photo over the wall!"

"Oh my goodness!  Right here, the sakura blossoms were gently falling. It was just like in Anime!"

"Hey! This room is my size!"

"This is what the plastic ticket looks like.  You do not get to keep it, but you drop it off as you leave."

"What fun! Goodbye, Imperial Gardens!"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 5 - Imperial Gardens - 4/12/16

"Oh! We are going to the Imperial Gardens!"

"At first, the humans weren't sure they could go in, because there was a guard. (I was pretty sure I would be fine.) The humans actually waited for some schoolgirls to go in and then followed them!  The guard checked their bags and then gave them a plastic ticket to borrow, and then we got to go in...wow!"

"It's pretty, isn't it?  And my human brought me a kimono to wear!  (It is a Dress Me Hello Kitty outfit! My human's friend got it for me from eBay!)"

"And WOW! I know it was the end of the season, but we saw CHERRY BLOSSOMS!"

"I love Japan already!"

"Most of the people looked like tourists who were not from Japan, but it was a weekday, so most Japanese people must have been at work or school or busy!"

"Wow! The music hall! I think it was built for the Empress' birthday....!"

"Fancy gardens, a music hall, and skyscrapers! Isn't Tokyo neat?"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 4 - 4/12/16

"Oh my goodness! We were SO EXCITED, my human and I woke up at 3:50 a.m.! (Also I think maybe we felt a tiny earthquake that night? My human is blaming jet lag but I think we were just excited!!!! And then we got up at 7:00 a.m. and eventually we got dressed and then the vending machines downstairs had WATER for 110 yen! All the time!!!! So convenient!!!!"

"Okay okay. My human said I need to try to calm down. Okay! So we thought we would have a rest day before we went to the theme parks. So we walked to Ikspiari and went to the ticket center! Yaaaay!"

"The humans did not buy their tickets online. It was not that hard to buy tickets for the next day at the ticket center....the Cast Member did not know much English, and my human did not know much English, but they figured it out! Yay! Now, where is the conbini (コンビニ, convenience store).... Oh! We looked everywhere but it was right by Maihama Station!"

"Japanese pastries! My human can read a little katakana, so she knew チョコ was choco, for chocolate!(Bonus! パン, pan, is bread!)"

"Then we took a train! It was pretty crowded!  They weren't shoving people in or anything, but it was still pretty crowded! Oh! This is in a station. I wonder if this is free. Tee hee."

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 3 - 4/11/16

"It was a long flight, but with the entertainment screens and delicious food and everything, we were fine. We landed at Narita Airport in Japan! And WOW! An origami crane was waiting for us!!!!"

The human here. We were staying at Hotel MyStays Maihama, but our flight got in too late to take a shuttle to the exact area. We were able to book a "limousine bus" (shuttle) to Shin-Urayasu, where we were to depart and get on a taxi. The clerk spoke perfectly understandable English. The bus was nice enough, though we really couldn't see anything at all outside, and there wasn't much on the TVs inside.

"Then we got off at a hotel and had to wait to get a taxi. We could have walked to the train, but my human's friend's luggage strap had broken :( so it was probably good that we waited."

"WOW! Our hotel room is SO TINY but we can see Mount Prometheus from our front door!!!! We had no trouble checking in, even though my human doesn't know very much Japanese. She didn't need any to check in....here is our room!"

"Um....the photos may be a bit out of order, or else I magically changed clothes...oops...."

"Good night, Tokyo! I think I love you already!"
