Exploring Tokyo Station - Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 96 - 4/17/16

"My human wanted to see the reconstructed facade of Tokyo Station!"


We wandered a lot and even passed a group of school kids yelling for money to help victims of a recent earthquake, I believe. I was wondering if it was some kind of scam, but then months later, I saw kids do the same thing in an Anime, so I guess it was legit!


"I think it is beautiful!"


Buildings where I come from are not nearly as beautiful!


"Oh my goodness! The human was SO excited! Chansey is her FAVORITE Pokémon! She's an egg Pokémon, and it was Eastertime, so they had Chansey on many things!"

Wandering in Tokyo - Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 95 - 4/17/16

"It was raining SO HARD when we got out of church.  The train service was suspended!"


"We wandered, and wandered, and wandered...eventually we got on a train to Tokyo Station....oh my goodness Disney is EVERYWHERE!"


"We got off in Tokyo Station, which feels so much like a shopping mall.  We got ekiben!  Train station bento!  Except they are meant to be eaten on a train, so we had a very hard time finding a place to eat them!"

"We liked most of it...and hey! It is turning into a beautiful day!"

"We did a LOT of scenic walking in a light rain....we were visiting an English-speaking church.  Wow!  Kids drew these signs!"






"Tokyo Baptist Church was a nice place to visit!  It was almost all in English.......if we knew more Japanese, we would have rather gone to a Japanese service with a Japanese pastor.  But everyone was friendly!"

15th Anniversary Resort Line Monorail - Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 92 - 4/16/16

Human here.  I was SO PROUD to figure out how to get the right ticket in Japanese, since I read the character for "person" and the hirigana for "child."  Until after I bought the ticket, I figured out there was an obvious English option. Oops.


"We are hoping to ride the Duffyrail! The Duffy Resort Line...."


"At least it is a nice place to wait..."


"But it never came!  So we got on the 15th Anniversary Resort Line/monorail instead.  Lucky for us, the human loves mass transit and trains, so it was not a complete waste of money....a little crowded, though!"

"We had to/got to change trains at Tokyo Station....wow, it's like a mall!"
