Space Mountain - Journey to Tokyo Disneyland Resort - Part 43 - 4/14/16

"The park was NOT CROWDED and there was ALMOST NO LINE for Space Mountain, and Space Mountain is one of my human's FAVORITES, so we decided to ride!"


"Um...is this ride scary?"


"A little eerie inside.  Just like Anaheim! But look how my Joy dress lights up!"

"The human loves Space Mountain!  Tokyo's doesn't have a soundtrack, so that was weird to her, but it was still fun!"

Shellie May and Monsters! - Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 42 - 4/14/16

"Monsters Inc. Ride & Go Seek! The standby line said it was 25 minutes and the human wanted to see the queue. And it was one of her three "must-rides"!  So we went!"


"We noticed the clocks do not move! I think that is so you don't realize you are waiting."


"Boo! I can read a little Japanese! She is saying boo.  :)"






"Celia! Where are you?"


"Oh my goodness the human liked the ride SO MUCH!  It felt fun like the Monsters Inc. ride in Disney California Adventure and it was interactive and silly and FUN!  She thought it was almost like being in the middle of Muppet mayhem.  SO WONDERFUL!!!!!!!  But...my human loves Monsters Inc., so that might have helped....oh, AWWWW!"

Shellie May at Tokyo Disneyland - Pooh's Hunny Hunt - Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 41 - 4/14/16

"Yay! A new day! We are going to Tokyo Disneyland!!!!  We took a shuttle.  It stopped at Maihama Station, then Tokyo Disneyland, and Tokyo DisneySea. Almost everyone on the shuttle seemed to be waiting to get off at Tokyo DisneySea!  My human, her friend, and I were the ONLY two who got off at Tokyo Disneyland!  OHHH!  The Duffyrail!!!"


"Too much rain!  But that means low crowds!"

"Whoa! So many umbrellas! So many ponchos!  I think the human and I were the only two people who didn't have either."


"We hurried to Pooh's Hunny Hunt!  NO LINE!  We got a Fastpass and then rode."


"What fun these giant pages must be for people learning English!"


"The human......I think the Internet got her expectations too high.  Or maybe she had read too much about it.  Don't read about Pooh's Hunny Hunt before you visit!"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 40 - Back to the hotel - 4/13/16

Just a bit more shopping before closing time. (The park closed at 6 PM that night for a special event.)

"Um....I would like a ride home, please..."


"It is raining a tiny bit, but the Wing of Wishes is still beautiful!"



"Hotel MyStays Maihama is a quick walk to Lawson. The human was impressed with how cool the clerk was when he spun around and microwaved her meal for her!  Oh! Look! SISTERS! My human marked her best friend's with a bracelet."


"And we had brought ShellieMay a dress from home, since my human did not want her to have to only wear a skirt and a bow all the way back home.  This isn't quite her style, but much better than nothing! And she has more fabulous clothes waiting for her at home."


"My human had SO MUCH FUN! We were going to Tokyo Disneyland the next day, but she said that there was absolutely no way that day could top our day at Tokyo DisneySea. (Then she amended to say that unless someone gave us a pile of money, nothing could top our day at Tokyo DisneySea!)"

Journey to Tokyo Disney Resort - Part 39 - ShellieMay Choosing Me - 4/13/16

The human here! So I know that Duffy and ShellieMay are definitely from Cape Cod. I knew I wanted an S-sized (17") ShellieMay, and I'd assumed I would get her from Cape Cod, too.  But after I fell in love with the SS Columbia, I wanted my 17" ShellieMay to come from McDuck's since that's the closest shop to the Columbia. And McDuck's is so gorgeous!



But I looked at the displays in McDuck's Department Store, and none of the ShellieMays wowed me, and the place was frankly just too fancy....my ShellieMay was not supposed to be fancy...

But then, what is this...? It's attached to a pawn shop?


Yes! That definitely seemed like the place my plucky ShellieMay should come from! I looked hard and still had trouble finding the right ShellieMay. None were wrong, but none seemed especially right, either...it might be that I don't have much experience with 17" plushes anyway. But then one was just

staring

at

me.

I picked her up, inspected, saw no defects....here she is, posing where I found her.
